You would have noticed the change to our operating name and a new logo. The committee feels these better reflect what we do and where we’re heading as an organisation.

2018 kicked off with AARCMCC and Penrith District Nitro club organising the inaugural Sydney Motorsport Park Freewheel Cup at Eastern Creek. A promotional race meeting that showcased all AARCMCC sections – Onroad and Offroad IC plus electric Onroad and Offroad cars.

Drivers of all ages attended from multiple clubs. I’d like to congratulate the Penrith Club for running a professional meeting and providing a track that showcased onroad and offroad RC cars. The race meeting was very well received by the operators, ARDC and there’s no doubt more activity at Eastern Creek is to follow in the future.

2018 will see the introduction of the Club Assistance Scheme. The aim of the assistance scheme is to provide direct financial assistance to AARCMCC affiliated clubs with the intention of improving their facilities, it will help to ensure the future of RC car racing as a sport. Watch this space for the scheme to go live in the near future.

With the year quickly moving forward, we have many State Titles and National Titles to choose from over the next few months so get those entries in and enjoy the camaraderie on offer every time you go RC car racing.
